Re: Benji Gregory has died

I remember reading it on his Instagram. He had said that he was going to close his PO box for good, but then changed his mind when he found out that so many fans were still interested in contacting him. I don't know of anyone who was able to contact him either though, come to think of it. https ...

Re: THE BREAKFAST CLUB

You got it! It's a great movie. One of the first to ever empathize with teen angst in a compassionate way. Such was John Hughes.

Re: ALF Legos?

Very cool! I wish it was available, but I know that ALF is a pretty niche interest these days and it probably wouldn't sell too well other than among us diehard fans. Here's a more complete set LEGO Idea that isn't expired yet, and also includes the living room: https://ideas.lego.com/projects ...

Re: THE BREAKFAST CLUB

A John Hughes classic. Such a great opening scene, with a rare instrumental version of "Don't You Forget About Me". Fun fact: the version you hear in that scene is actually the instrumental of the original demo that Keith Forsey and Steve Schiff recorded for Simple Minds in order to convince them to ...

Re: John LaMotta: ALF was the "worst work I ever did"

I had no idea he had passed, let alone 10 years ago! It looks like it's probably true, even though there aren't a lot of details about his death: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/216451942/john-lamotta He wasn't exactly famous, so I'm not surprised there's not a whole lot out there about his ...

Thank you for reviving an old thread back from the dead! I had completely forgotten I started it all the way back in 2008. A lot has changed since then, including ALF's laugh!

Re: Recent Spam Problem

Yes, I have noticed the same thing as well. Accounts with barely any posts that either post gibberish or post the same shady URL to multiple threads. I have reported the spam posts before, and nothing has been done. Here's one from last August that is still up: https://www.alftv.com/community ...

Re: Benji Gregory has died

I am so heartbroken over this. He was so kind to his fans and always kept a PO box for people to write letters to. I don't know what he was up to in recent years, but 46 is just so incredibly young to go. What a huge loss. We'll miss you, Brian. Rest in peace. :(

Entertainment Weekly magazine with ALF dated October 29, 2023?

I was just watching this old promo for ALF's Hit Talk Show, and I noticed a crazy coincidence. At the end of the promo, it flashes to an issue of Entertainment Weekly, with ALF on the cover... except the date is October 29, 2023. That's only a few days ago! Yet the promo was released by Paul Fusco ...

I came here to post this interview, but then I saw that someone in the forum had already posted it in this thread. Sorry to bump such an old thread, but I thought others would like to see the interview who may have missed it! So cool to see Anne talking about her experience on the show. Here it is ...

Re: Can we get this forum going again!

I'm all for breathing life into the forum again. When I joined way back in 2006 (when the show wasn't even 20 years old yet), the forum was super active and bustling with daily activity. I got lucky (the adjective, not the cat) that this username was somehow available, and I had a great time talking ...

ALF's Lynn Tanner returns!

Hi all! This is a sketch from a local access show in Maine called The Nite Show, and it was aired last year when Andrea Elson was a guest. It's so cool to see Andrea play Lynn again after all these years! Despite not having acted in 20 years, she's still a natural. I just wish they would have gotten ...

Re: Max Wright: Where is He Now

That is so saddening to see, especially when you take a look at him in the late '80s and him now. I hadn't seen a photo of Max since the infamous 2002 sex scandal photos. But at the same time, I feel like I shouldn't be looking at these since I doubt he wanted those photos to be taken. It's an ...
