Re: What's NEW in your collection?

I’ve been quite busy lately and haven’t had time to hunt for merch in antique shops, but recently a family member of mine found a TV dinner tray at a yard sale. It’s pretty nice, but a little rusted. Still trying to find a place for it in my collection, though. I’ve got limited space, so it’s kind of ...

Re: What's NEW in your collection?

An ALF cake server sounds pretty awesome. A few of the items you've collected are pretty rare, too. I've never found anything extremely rare in my collecting, but I usually just look in antique shops and thrift stores, so rare stuff most likely wouldn't be there. I think the "rarest" thing I've ever ...

Re: What's NEW in your collection?

Cool! I've never heard of an ALF carpet, so I'm curious as to what it looks like. Also, those telephone cards are pretty awesome. Recently I went to a thrift store and acquired two of the animated series figures, the two being Rick Fusterman and Curtis Shumway. I already had the Augie Shumway figure ...

Re: Happy 38th Anniversary to ALF!

It’s been 38 years since Willie Tanner muttered those immortal words: “We have a visitor.”

Happy anniversary to the ol’ ALFer! Thanks for all the laughs.

Re: Benji Gregory has died

If it did involve teleportation, I could see two reasons why it didn't get produced. 1: It was probably too complicated or too costly to produce the special effects (unless the teleportation was done off-screen). 2: I remember reading the Oral History on ALF that Mental Floss did several years back ...

Re: If You Were A Melmacian...

I'd either be a dentist (primarily because it's easy and pays well), a member of the Orbit Guard, or a Melmacian screenplay/teleplay writer. The idea of writing for Melmacian TV shows and movies seems interesting, so I'd love to try out some of the ideas from their culture.

I was so glad when I opened the forum on Sunday to see that there were actual posts! It's great to see that some older members have returned to the board.

Yep. I hoped that the software update that Admin mentioned in another thread was going to help, but apparently they found a way through. Back to the drawing board, I guess.

Re: Paul Fusco Autograph

It's just a coincidence. However, I've never thought of that similarity! That's pretty cool, now that you've said that. I've seen all sorts of pictures that people received in this thread, and I really loved this one the most. I'm glad I got that one. If you want to write to him, I believe the post ...

Re: Paul Fusco Autograph

I noticed it's been a while since anyone has posted in this thread. I hope everybody who sent a letter and/or autograph request received one eventually. Since this thread has kinda been abandoned, I'm going to add my autograph. I've had it since February 2023. I don't know if there's anybody willing ...

Re: Can we get this forum going again!

I too check the forum daily, but I don't post every day. Still, although I'm not sure about the process that mods have to go through when deleting threads, it probably wouldn't be too hard to pop on here and delete a few spam messages. There's nothing wrong with a longer username, but it's a bit ...

Yeah. It feels like there's even more spam each time I log in. We're practically drowning in it.

Re: Can we get this forum going again!

Agreed that these spammers are getting annoying. We’ve just revived this forum from the dead and the spammers are loading up the Active Topics board with these messages. I’m backing up AlfAlfa_26’s idea of making one of the frequent members here a moderator. Also, the post count would probably help t ...

Re: New ALF Neca figures

i've seen this one online too. It's just on pre-order at the moment, so I'd probably wait until it actually releases and I can find some reviews. Most of the Body knockers do tend to look cheap-looking. This one doesn't look as cheap, but I guess the details make it look nicer. Like you said, I'm ...

Admin - Can you just give me 48 hours before removing it ?!   I don't believe he's been on here since I posted that. You're safe until he comes back. However, there's been more spam posts on here since I posted that. They've practically overtaken the "Active Topics" board ...

Re: Can we get this forum going again!

I know I’m a little late, but glad you’re back, Jeremiah. And just in time for the recent boost in activity!

Speaking of spam, I think there’s a thread that was posted today that’s obviously spam. I believe it’s in the Television Appearances category. You’ll know it when you see it.

Re: Shumway (An ALF revival Fanfic)

I have a habit of putting little nods to the original show or anything in the franchise as a whole. From personal experience, I always enjoy when reboots or revivals of franchises have little references to the original in them, so I always like to do that with my fan fiction  .

Re: Shumway (An ALF revival Fanfic)

Thanks for reading and I'm glad you enjoyed it! True, it is really dark, but I felt that I needed to balance the humor with some dark, dramatic scenes. Due to the recent increase in traffic on the forum, I finally made time to write an epilogue to tie the story up. Just want to tell y'all that it's ...

Re: What's NEW in your collection?

I haven't ever been able to find those Burger King CDs in person (I haven't ever looked online). Maybe one day I'll get lucky and find one of them. Also, I believe that was Paul Fusco singing on those CDs. When I got my Cosmic Con ALF last year, the package was a tad bit damaged. I think it was ...

Re: What's NEW in your collection?

Glad I was able to help! They're sure not to disappoint. As for me, my recent addition to my collection is the "Melmac Girls" Burger King puppet. I actually already had one, but I found one at an antique mall that was in better condition than mine and had the cardboard accessories with it (mine did ...
