Hello Adeline,
it's a great idea to bring new life to this forum. I hope that we could have more conversations here in the future. I believe everybody who visits the forum from time to time thinks he/she is alone here and has therefore not much ambition to come back...
Of course, we all have other things in our lives going on, but I try to visit this forum on a regular basis.
Now to my own reintroducing: I am an ALF fan since 2014, so it's my 10 year anniversary this year. I knew ALF before, in fact I cannot remember a time when I first heard of it, it was always a part of my life. When I was a little child, I saw bits of the show, and I remember that I was a bit scared, but not by ALF himself: I always had a very vivid fantasy, and at nights I sometimes had nightmares including creatures that were looking like they were modelled after ALF, but were not actually him. But that is 19 years ago now, I remember that I was 5 years old at the time of the nightmares.
When I was 14, there was a rerun of ALF on a german TV channel. I decided that I wanted to see the series from its very start, so while my family was watching in the living room, I was watching in my room on youtube(every episode was there at the time; I believe that it also included the original version of "Try to remember"). As I always dive very deep into everything I get interested in, I soon knew that there was an prequel in form of an animated series, so I tried to watch these episodes first. I stopped doing that, because there weren't every episodes on youtube and I found them not as good as the sitcom. When I had reached the episode that was actually airing at the time, I started to watch again with my family in the living room. At Christmas, I got the european box set and we started to watch the whole series again.
I joined this forum last summer, still not a full year ago. Like you Adeline, I have my ideas about a sequel series that I would love to actually produce one day; of course this seems unrealistic now.
My other interests are:
Star Trek
Disney-Comics(Carl Barks, Don Rosa, Floyd Gottfredsson, Romano Scarpa, Marco Nucci, Andrea Castellan and lots of others; I have a big collection of over 700 Disney-Comic books)
Music(mostly music from the 60s to 80s; but I also really appreciate classical music)
Back to the Future
Quantum Leap(the european Blu-Ray release includes the original music; for those interested)
Classic movies(including those of the very early aage, like the Laurel&Hardy comedies)
Novels and short stories from different authors and decades
Besides all this I am very interested in genealogy and therefore do research in archives. And I am a big animal lover. Over the years I had budgerigars, rabbits and a Golden Retriever. It was always hard to lose them, so after the sudden death of my dog from cancer two years ago, I decided that I could not have anoher animal for a while. But I am sure that I will someday share my home with an animal again.
That's all I have to say about myself at the moment. Who else is still here?
