The Tanner House Exterior

Hi, I was just wondering if anybody knew if the Tanner House exterior was a real house they used for establishing shots, or if it was a fake house on the Warners Studio Lot. If it's a real house does anynone know where it is? Thanks.

Not sure about the house itself, but the garden used in the original titles is part of a house owned by one of the producers/directors.

Not sure about that. My guess is that it was based off a house in a neighborhood in L.A.

No idea of actual home location, but will add from examination of exterior home shots that I do not believe all interior sets (rooms) appearing on ALF TV Series could have fitted inside the home.

Your right, I notcied this from the amount of windows and the angles that change inside and outside the house.

I know it wasn't actually shot in that house or a house, on set somewhere, but it would have been nice to see the house fit inside the outside pictures.

also watch the growth of the plants on the wall outside of the the tanners.It doesn't change day or night!This comes on at the beginning of each section of alf.

i guess they took some quick shots all in one day, and never came back for more, which is alright with me, but if yo are going to show that many shots of the house outside, just as well to keep it updated to some degree.

in season 3, episode fight back, i noticed that the garage is out of whack as well, window wise.
i thought this for a while, but now confirmed.

I wish I could remember exactly but I'm pretty sure I found a site on the net a while ago that showed where the Tanner house is actually located. And by this I mean the exterior shots you are talking about. I'm gonna try and find it again.

Oh the exterior shots you see of the house before a scene is a real house. I'm just trying to find the site I seen it on that showed the exact address.
