Re: Uncut DVDs
Is it worth buying the uncut episodes? I was going to purchase the show on dvd until I heard that they weren't the complete episodes. I don't have any episodes on tape and don't remember the show in enough detail to know what was cut from them. I've been watching the first 3 seasons on hulu but have no idea if they have whole episodes or the cut ones posted there. Does anyone know?

Re: Uncut DVDs
It is definitely worth getting the DVD's! ALF hosts the menues on them, which is beyond awesome! Season 1 also has some good special features too.gerbilsrcute wrote:Is it worth buying the uncut episodes? Bloopers, Unaired Original Pilot Episode & ALF Trivia, plus as always, ALF hosting the menues which is the best part. You have to get the DVD's Jessica. They are not expensive or hard to get in Sweden.Jessica wrote:What's the special features is on it then?

Re: Uncut DVDs
gerbilsrcute.
The three seasons of ALF TV Series episodes currently offered for viewing on "Hulu.com" are the syndicated (edited) episodes - not the original ALF TV Series episodes.
I agree with AxelFoley that the added features on the ALF DVD Sets make the purchase worthwhile, even though the Sets contain syndicated (edited episodes). Since you stated that you have limited recall of the origina ALF TV Series episodes, there is even more reason for you to consider purchase of the ALF DVd Sets because you will not suffer the trauma of missing content that has been edited.

Re: Uncut DVDs
Thanks for the reply. Will have to look into getting them then as I loved watching the show back when it aired (and hulu doesn't have the 4th season) it just sorta bugs me that they aren't the complete episodes, even if I won't recall the scenes that are cut from them.
Re: Uncut DVDs
It sounds very cool, but doesn't it have to be a special DV player, wich I don't have.AxelFoley wrote:Bloopers, Unaired Original Pilot Episode & ALF Trivia, plus as always, ALF hosting the menues which is the best part. Re: Uncut DVDs
Yes, a region-free one since this being American has region 1, while we in Europe has region 2. But you can still play it on your computer without any complications.Jessica wrote:It sounds very cool, but doesn't it have to be a special DV player, wich I don't have.AxelFoley wrote:Bloopers, Unaired Original Pilot Episode & ALF Trivia, plus as always, ALF hosting the menues which is the best part. What's the difference between the original first episode and the unaired. I wanna know that.

Yes the link work, too bad the board is down.
Welcome by the way! I don't think we have any German members on this board, not active anyway. I know ALF is extremely popular in Germany so it's cool to have a German ALF fan here.

Sadly my english is poor!
Still i found the Original Mail from Warner (I know it's German, sry):
"Sehr geehrter Herr v.F. ,
