New in da house!
Hello, i'm a newbie so lemme introduce myself.
I'm quite an older guy, 45 years of age so to say and i'm a real Alfomaniac since i watched that 80's sitcom, where it was introduced in Holland, and yup i'm a dutchie . Last year i downloaded the whole sitcom on my puter but i had a big job todo for my friends and so, i have translated and subtitled every episodes for our dutch viewers and fans. Translating en subtitling is one of my hobby's i do on my computer. Last week i did Project: Alf and i must say, it was a big job and i know the movie bareheaded now, Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Some said : Yer a looney todo these things but hey as long those dvd's don't come out in here i know for sure they are thankfull that some Alfomaniac cleared the job. Oké guys, this was a lil bit of me, i hope to get to know you all soon when i'm gonna visit the forum or even chat alil.
My best regards: Alfomaniac.

Alfomaniac,
Glad to have you join us on the Forum. In your introduction post, you mention translating ALF content from English into Dutch. The translation must be a difficult and time consuming task for "quite an older guy", since the Dutch language has so many long, long, long words. HA!

Re: New in da house!
Hi,
My name's Jan, I live in Budapest, Hungary. I've been kind of a reborn Alf-fan for about a year now. I loved the sitcom very much about fifteen years ago when it was shown on Hungarian HBO dubbed. I re-discovered Alf about a year ago, when I got the DVDs, and since then, I've watched the whole series from the beginning to the end several times and I can't get bored of it. I laugh at the jokes as much as I did for the first time. Alf is just hilarious, and the other characters are very good, too. In my opinion, Alf is the best situation comedy that has ever been made. It's such a shame that only 4 seasons were produced, I wish there were more...

jantje,
Welcome to the Forum. Did you know that your country has always been one of ALf''s favorites, since he only had to add the letter "A" to what he was always thinking - "hungry"?
