Regardless of the music, I prefer the first intro (seasons 1 and 2) becacuse the characters are shown in funny situations. I think the second intro lacks creativity, and besides, it's too long, I think. And because I don't really like the second intro, I don't really like the music, either.

You must think both themes are too long then...

Regarding the lack of creativity...you seem to be talking about the scenes shown in the background, NOT the "theme music" itself (which is what this thread is about). From a music standpoint, the seasons 3/4 theme is much more creative and complex than the first two seasons (the arranger used the original theme as a template, and expanded upon it).

Yes, you are right, I was talking about the scenes shown in the background, but for me it's difficult to abstract the music from those scenes. Yes, I agree that the theme song of seasons 3 and 4 is more acoustic, and I prefer acoustic music. Are they really of the same length? Well, that surprises me, the second theme song seems much longer to me.

And finally, when I said "lack of creativity" I didn't mean the music, but the scenes running in the background. Sorry I was off-topic. Maybe we could open a new thread in which we can discuss the intros for seasons 1-2 and 3-4.

I really like the theme song from season 3 and 4. It's good and make me happy. I like the sax too saxophones seemed popular in sitcoms in the 80's and 90's.

I hope you don't mind, but I edited your title from "theme song" to "theme music." I'm being picky, but since the themes do not have lyrics they would not officially be theme "songs."

I prefer the Season 3 & 4 theme music. When I watch those episodes on DVD I usually listen to the theme while with the Season 1 & 2 eps I usually skip the theme.

I made the seasons 3/4 theme music into a ring tone a few months ago...needless to say I wake up to the theme every morning. Ahhhh, what a way to start the day!!!

One of these days I have to consider converting all of the RM (Real Media) files on the multimedia page to a different format...5-6 years ago everyone had RealPlayer on their computer...not so much anymore.
