Announcement - 6/19/09

Hi everyone. I just wanted to give you a heads up that I will be out of state from June 21, 2009 through about July 27, 09 (approximately 5 weeks). I have some mandatory military training in Norfolk, Virginia to do (my wife as well). I should still be checking the forum at least a couple times a day, but my availability might/could be limited.

I'm not expecting any issues, but wanted to post something just to be on the safe side. If for some reason I don't check in for a few days, you'll know why (again, I'm fairly certain I'll still be on here a couple times a day).

As you know i have a son in law down in Afganistan now and i don't wish noone to even go to boot camp! Be well my friend!!

Luckily for me boot camp was last summer (that was NOT fun!) - I'm anticipating this being quite easy (and boring), but one can never be too sure. I'll let you all know how things are going once I get there. I may not be online for some of this week (I have to see where I will be staying, and then get Internet access set up and everything).

I'm going to be leaving this evening...so if I'm not on for a few days, please don't be concerned (planes, check-in with the unit in Virginia, get a place to stay, Internet...yeah).

Just an update, I should be back in the next couple of days. I have been stuck "in processing" at Fort Jackson (South Carolina)...I have Internet access, and this site is blocked by the network (just my luck). I am currently using the wi-fi at the Columbia Airport, so I should be fine at my next duty station for the summer. I do have a few PMs, so I will get to those as soon as possible.

Talk to you all soon! I look forward to reading up on threads I missed the last couple weeks.
