Season 4 Missing Episode?

The poster in that thread mentioned a Lions Gate release. Isn't it Lions Gate the owner of the rights of ALF in Canada too whereas Maple is the distributor or something?

Yes LionsGate is the sole owner of the DVD production for the seasons of the ALF sitcom. The Maple release also has the LionsGate logo on the case. They also distributed the DVD's of the ALF sitcom in Canada. Maple is a Canadian company.

Then this is mindboggling, is there in fact 2 episodes missing on some DVD, if so, which ones, the Amercan or the Canadian??

and then what ones that might be missing to there twice?

NOW..to clear up confusion,

The Canadian release of ALF Season 4 is missing 1 episode called "He ain't heavy, he's Willie's brother" and the set also contained 2 of the same episode called "I gotta be me" which is located on both discs 3 and 4. It was also discovered a long time ago if you read the first page of this topic that the episode order on the discs of the Canadian release are different then the US release. NOW this should clear up all the confusion lol

There was no 2 missing episodes lol. There was 2 of the same episode found on the release.

I have to apologize to AxelFoley. I forgot that I had commented on a second topic featuring another buyer having missing episodes from Season 4. I have asked if his copy was released by Maple. If it wasn't, then we have a bigger problem on our hands with the Season 4 DVD's then we thought. I will be surprised if this is an American release that has the missing episodes because I do believe all reported cases were Maple sets.

I just don't understand why the US releases now have missing episodes. Nobody had any problems before with the US release. If these are newly manufactured US releases, then why would Lionsgate tamper with the discs, if they did, when everything was fine before? The only other possible reason I can think of is that something went wrong when these new discs were being made.
