How Tall Is ALF?

Im thinking about making a life size cardboard cut out of ALF and wanted to know how tall he is?

Im guessing and think I may have read 3 feet tall?

I don't know what the "canon" weight is thats been said in the show or written, but Michu was nearly 3ft. I would have thought the real ALF was slightly taller when you look at him on screen.

ALF's height and other body dimensions appear in the text on an "officially licensed" auto windsheld sunsshield showing ALF lounging on the beach. If my recall correct, this auto sunsshield is titled, "Mr. Television", and ALF's height is listed as 3 feet (approximately).

I have two of these ALF auto sunshields in my ALF collection; however, access to the sunshields for verification of actual ALF height information most difficult, since they are hermetically sealed in plastic and placed under a couch in my office that is overloaded with, and surrounded by, mountain high piles of stuff.

Let me look threw my books and photos and see if I can find you a good picture Mark because like I said I am definitely interested in having one of these as long as it is one like you see in a theater.

Apparently, reading comprehension is a problem for you. Actually, the mountain high piles of stuff necessary to be moved in order to gain access were far more an obstacle to verifying ALF height information, rather than "sealed" in plastic. Interesting to note that you were able "to come to the rescue" by using source information supplied by "trusty knowledge man".

By the way Spanky, did you happen to notice that birthdate information for ALF appearing on sunshield "Data Sheet" conflicts with more widelly accepted ALF birthdate information from numerous other sources?

We are here to have fun and enjoy ourselves while collecting, talking about, or just reviewing anything Alf. If the thrill of it is gone for you might I suggest something like collecting books? That is more of an "elitist" hobby that you would probably fit into very well.

I love the idea of making an ALF stand up, i think you will need way better resolution source picture though - way better even than an 8x10 or it will just look grainy. There is a length width wall poster but thats not full body.

Q: Mr. Fusco, I am curious to know what day you believe to be ALF's birthday. Alien Productions has trademarked or licensed materials showing three different dates in 1756 and 1757; those dates being August 12, October 2, and October 28. I would assume October 28 because ALF himself states that date in an episode of the sitcom and on the DVD set. Can you shed some light on this?

A: ALF had 2 birthdays (very common on Melmac) Oct.28 and Aug. 12 I believe
are the correct ones.

Thanks for the info, 32 inches sounds and looks about right for the height of ALF.

I work for Churchill the insurance company and have recently been working with a company to produce 5 foot cut outs of the Churchill dog that look fantastic im going to ask them how much it would be to produce the life-size ALF cut out.

Trouble is they will need a good quality, head to toe photo of ALF preferably digital and 300 dpi +
I have a load of ALF 35mm slides from the WB press kit and are trying to get them converted as a high res digital scan from one of these, but cant remember if there are any suitable shots.

Will keep you posted.

Bring Back ALF,

Possible roadblock that you may encounter. Here in the U.S., reputable companies will refuse to illegally reproduce any image or content that has trademark or copyright.

Also, double check ALF height information from "Data Sheet" which was 3' 2" 1"' - not 32 ".

Yep already thought about that one and hoping that since im not going to be selling it and I know the guy at the printer I might be ok, but you never know.
