Wow! I joked about this a few months back but Amazon Germany are releasing an ALF four season box set as an online exclusive featuring all four uncut seasons in an orange fur plush box set with outer wrap around sleeve!!

I'd like to see some more pics of the actual furr box, too. To see if they made it well. The pic on Amazon doesn't really cut it.

I would like to see better pics too, im trying to work out if the whole inner section is covered with fur or just the spine, hope its an all over orange fur design! Really pleased about this release!

Yeah. If it's just the spine I'm not sure it's a 'special' enough special edition for me to double(make that triple)-dip.

You can see the fur a little, but it's not that clear.

At a guess I would say its an all over ALF fur flocking with an outer cardboard slipcase. Don't think they could really call it an ALF fur box if it was just the spine but thats just me guessing and wanting it to be all over fur!

Im going to sell my Uncut seasons 1&2 on ebay this week, need to make some room on the Melmac shelf!

This box set has now been released, I must admit I haven't had the spare cash to order it at the moment but i'm a bit disappointed by the new photos that have been added to the Amazon page:

I was hoping for a complete fur box set not just he spine, I guess the price is still good for all four seasons uncut.

Gahh, I knew that would be the case! That's a shame. If that box had the season sets WITH the slip-cases, I think I would have gotten it straight away. I think I'll stick with the individual releases instead.

Thanks to a very thoughtful Santa/girlfriend I was happy to discover this furry boxest waiting for me under the tree yesterday. So here are a few pics and comments to give you a better view of it (in case you're still considering whether it's worth getting).

The furry part is great, and yes while it would have been much cooler to have it over the entire outer box it still looks fantastic this way, giving the entire package a distinctive and comic look



It's all four seasons with English audio and subtitles, each season in it's own regular sized dvd box with an insert containing the episode list (name, writer, director and a short summary, all in German only). 16 discs, 101 episode and 2394 minutes (as stated on the box).





And finally the classy look on the shelf:



I'm really happy with it and I don't expect we'll ever get a better ALF dvd edition so I think it's well worth getting. It's 66 euros on amazon.de at the moment so a bit over 10 euros cheaper than what it was when it was first released.

amazing box set! loving it!! can you tell me if it contains either subtitles or audio in spanish? I am from Argentina and we still haven't got a release with the latin american audio of alf (nor a release at all here, I'm dying!) and like The Simpsons, it's the only other thing I prefer watching dubbed for I like better the latin american voices than the original ones. Congrats on your Xmas gift!
