Kyle's ALF Page

Post by Admin »

I talked with Kyle Pleasant today (through email), and I am sorry to inform everyone that his ALF page will not be coming back online. The URL for "Kyle's ALF Page" was pleasant.org/alf

Aside from it being a great ALF site (much of what was on his website is NOT on any other site currently), it was THE original ALF website dating back to 1992. 19 years is a great run, and I for one am thankful that he kept it up for so long. Looks like he owns the record, which now means that Stephan's ALF Page is the new leader for fan sites (dating back to 1996).

Kyle was also kind enough to email me the HTML files from his website and give me permission to put the content up on this site. Hopefully within the next few weeks I can add some things.

Just wanted to let you all know. It always saddens me when another site goes down.

My memory escapes me, was that the site where a gif of ALF chasing Lucky was on the front page?

No, I believe you are thinking of Spaceman's ALF Page (it's been so long I forget though). Kyle's had the Rules of ALFquisition, Melmac Menu, and Melmac Holidays (to name a few pages).

Kyle's Page, was this the one that had ALF standing in the doorway on the entry page?

That one was the old ALF Online page (which was in the process of being redesigned after the talk show aired, but never put back up).

Archive.org would be a good place to check it out - just type in pleasant.org/alf

I used to visit Kyle's page quite a bit, I first got the internet in 1996 so used to visit his site shortly after that.

Wish there were more ALF sites, can't believe how many Trek sites there are :D

Hey, you're not knocking Star Trek, are ya? Them are fightin' words! :P Unless you're talking about every show that came after the original, in that case you're fine

That site said it would be back again sometime in 2009 or so, I believe. Never happened then, either.

If I recall correctly he got the URL alf-online.com for a short time (and just redirected it from his Geocities page). I should dig through my records to see if I can find his contact information...see if he is still around...
