Re: Extraterrestrial Times Issue #1 - ALF Fan Club Newslette
I'd love to get my hands on the rest of them...even just copies!
What would be even better is if a group of us could re-create the newsletter...it's always been an idea in the back of my head, but may be too difficult and time consuming to execute.

Thats a great idea I could replicate the newsletter and we could distribute it as a downloadable PDF, if we could all write some content then we can make it work, what do you think? What would be even better is if a group of us could re-create the newsletter...it's always been an idea in the back of my head, but may be too difficult and time consuming to execute.

Re: Extraterrestrial Times Issue #1 - ALF Fan Club Newslette
I think it would be great! Even if we could get 3-4 of us together (each writing a section or two) there would be plenty to start small. A two-page quarterly??? Would make for a really good 25th anniversary in September.
Definitely a lot of different things to put in: Melmac Menu, featured collectibles/fans/websites, classifieds, puzzles, letters...perhaps even sending a hard copy to Paul Fusco? I hear Alf Clausen is really good about doing email interviews...I've even found a few guest stars (not well or known or anything) on Facebook, perhaps a private message requested a short interview?
Any ideas for a name? Or just go with something along the lines of "The New Extraterrestrial Times"

Re: Extraterrestrial Times Issue #1 - ALF Fan Club Newslette
This is turning into too much fun
Mozzerella Cat Whirl
1 1/2 pounds ground cat (ground beef would also be acceptable in a pinch) - chopped onions and green peppers recommended
1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon salt (Italian seasonings and garlic/onion powders also acceptable in place of salt)
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 (6 ounce) package mozzarella cheese, sliced
3/4 cup ketchup
3/4 cup water
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Directions
1) Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2) In a large bowl, combine cat, bread crumbs, egg, mustard, salt and pepper; mix well. On a sheet of waxed paper, pat out cat mixture into a large rectangle. Cover the surface with slices of cheese. Starting with the short side of the rectangle, roll up and remove waxed paper simultaneously. Place in a shallow baking dish. In a small bowl, mix together ketchup, water, and Worcestershire sauce; pour over cat.
3) Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Re: Extraterrestrial Times Issue #1 - ALF Fan Club Newslette
Ha Ha! I love that recipe!
This sounds great, I can work a design up next month (July) and if we can get some articles ready in July/August we could launch a 2 pager (or more) for the 25th Anniversary in September.
I like the idea of interviews and having all new info, could anyone get in contact with Liz Sheridan? Alf Clausen would be great too.
The New Extraterrestrial Times sounds good we could use the same heading.

Re: Extraterrestrial Times Issue #1 - ALF Fan Club Newslette
Liz Sheridan agreed to an interview, but after that I lost contact with her (this was through email). I should try again...perhaps she just forgot to reply back. I'm always paranoid about being to impatient, I don't want to "bother/bug" a celebrity where they think I am annoying them. Wait...that means I probably shouldn't be peaking through her windows anymore
Are any of the ETT issues you have in color (or were they all black/white)? Would be neat to add some color if we can

Added two more newsletters to the website today. One courtesy of Mark (bringbackalf.com) and the other I bought off a former collector. Enjoy!

Re: Extraterrestrial Times - ALF Fan Club Newsletters
Excellent, thanks for posting, are the early issues in black & white or have they just been scanned like that?
