How many of us are ALF collectors?

Post by ALFicionado »

I was just wondering about how many of us forum members that actually collect ALF stuff. On the top of my head, these members collect ALF merchandise:

I have probably left some off the list that I can't think of right now. Our late Asst. Admin ALFanatic also collected, though he preferred to call it a shelter for unwanted ALF items.

So, are there any other members here who collect ALF merchandise?

I've been outbid a number of times on eBay for ALF items, so I know there are a few out there

Yeah I currently have a couple I'm fighting with on the Swedish Ebay. While they drive up the prices, I enjoy kicking their butts as well as knowing I'm not alone in collecting ALF stuff here in Sweden.

I wish more of those Ebay ALF collectors could join the forum since it has to be quite a few out there.

Well, if junior (or even mega junior) collectors are required, I guess I can include myself into that list. With the help of my father's friend I have already bought Vintage 1986 Wisecracking ALF on ebay. And now I realy look forward to receiving it. The item is to be sent to my Dad's friend who lives in New York and then that friend will resend it to Belarus (making the price for shipping friendly :D ).

That's awesome, I don't have one of those dolls yet. Do you think you'll continue shopping ALF stuff on Ebay?

It was love at first sight. :D Actually it is a bit difficult to find Alf-dolls that look like real Alf (as for me). They remind Alf and I wanted my toy Alf to be as similar as possible. And the one that I ordered did satisfy that demand. Actually one day before the order took place I had chosen another one which dated 1987, but my father's friend wasted time and it was bought. However, I thought that, in that case, it wasn't MY Alf. And the one that I am expecting is 100% mine. :)

Than about continuing shopping ALF stuff on Ebay. Actually that is my first ebay experience. But it seems to be a pleasant one. I think if I find something really charming with reasonable price, I may repeat this experience. Actually shipping is the cornerstone. It seems that the most interesting irems are usually located in the USA, and that encourages to think 5 times before deciding to buy. :D

However I am thinking about buying special edition of Alf DVDs. I have all seasons but I want something with great design, uncut series and so on. May be this will be my next step (because, I think, there is no Russian edition like that - that's why ebay or amazon are needed).

I collect although i'm quite particular these days, my collection used to be massive but I sold off things like the backpacks and lunch boxes a few years ago. I still collect the figures and magazines and rare stuff like press kits (managed to get a nice Warner Bros four season press kit a few years ago complete with the studio synopsis and loads of colour slides. :D

Well, if you ever consider selling off the press kit, let me know  Jeremiah has that one as well. Next to scripts, it's the ultimate thing I'd want for my collection, I believe.

I consider my collection to be rather large. I'll have to post pictures one of these days. I MIGHT even have to post a pic of my tattoo :) lol

I'm also an ALF collector, collectively with my family. My brothers and I have a collection that is still at my parents' house. I'm going to visit them soon, so I'll take some pictures while I'm there.
