This new release just really rubs me the wrong way. This could have been a perfect opportunity to correct the previous issues we all have with the LionsGate sets. I even made a thread about the possibility of a complete series box set being released years ago. I really wouldn't have minded paying extra money for the set if the unedited episodes would have been used. It's just a real slap in the face to all of us die hard fans how we have gotten shaffted. North America get's syndicated episodes and on top of that both animated series have not been completed on DVD. I still haven't purchased the 2 DVD's that were put out. I need to get on that!

Yep, this is a Canadian only release. It is simply the previous releases from Lions Gate in different (and uglier) packaging at a higher price. Each season on Amazon individually is going for around $10 right now compared to the $60-70 wanted for this.

Sure I don't mind. Glad it's so. I hate it when there are millions of threads on the same subject. I guess I just didn't do my research on the forum  .

Well I guess I'm just saying what's already been said but this set really sucks. The images are horrible (who'd want to buy it), there's nothing new and it's syndicated. There's another problem too I really hate it when the shows are packaged in keep-cases. Yeah I know ALF's original season releases are so too but it annoys me. I hate to bitch and moan but I just had to get it of my chest. As everybody else I would love to see a better release of 'The Complete Series' box set but that would mean ALF Project too and the UNCUT episodes. Well I guess I'm just gonna have to wait and watch my old tapes.

P.S. Another thing that worries me is that if this set flops really bad they are going to forget about old Alfer completely.

Just started watching the uncut german DVD's,

I'm in shock of how many good scenes were cut out. entire scenes dropped all together.

It is sad that lionsgate didn't do the proper uncut release, but on the other hand i am now watching ALF with many scenes i have never seen before..

I know, right? It's like watching the episodes for the very first time.
