Re: Your OTHER Favorite Shows
Yeah, a lot of overlap there! I like American Pickers too, but i haven't seen it in a while.
I see we both like Night Court. I wish they'd hurry up and release the rest of those to DVD. WB is dragging its feet on that one for some reason.

Re: Your OTHER Favorite Shows
I have the first three seasons on DVD. No way I'm buying the fourth/fifth seasons until they come down in price. In the meantime, I'll stick with my VHS tapes. I think they'd be better off just releasing a complete series DVD set, rather than doing individual seasons.

Re: Your OTHER Favorite Shows
HUGE TOS fan here. I've met Nimoy, Shatner, Koenig and Nichols (met her just last month.) Only have Takei left before I've reached my dream of meeting all the surviving cast members of the greatest sci-fi show of all-time.ALFIsMyIdol wrote:I see there are a lot of Star Trek fans out here. Re: Your OTHER Favorite Shows
Really. I love Shatner in anything he does. Of course 'Star Trek' being the first and foremost. He was so great in Boston Legal as Denny Crane . Nimoy was also awesome in A Stich in Crime Columbo episode as the arrogant killer surgeon. How are they in real life.

Re: Your OTHER Favorite Shows
Yeah, Boston Legal is another favorite of mine. Just genius stuff.
Nimoy was very nice and polite when I met him, and Shatner, who's known to be a douche at conventions, just signing the stuff, not even looking up at you or say hi, greeted me and thanked me when I left. I was very happy with that experience

Re: Your OTHER Favorite Shows
I don't think that most of the stories spread by "certain cast-members" about him are true. He doesn't seem to be such a bad guy. It might just be my naive nature thou .

Re: Your OTHER Favorite Shows
I remember a few years ago (when George Takei was upset with him publicly) stories were coming out left and right about what kind of a guy Shatner is. I have no personal experience to speak from, but I'm almost thinking that things at that time may have been a little exaggerated. I certainly hope so, as I love him in the Star Trek movies.

Re: Your OTHER Favorite Shows
Takei seems like a nice guy but a little stiff in his back if you know what i mean ? His main problem was that Shatner wanted more close-ups (at least publicly). Still it never affected the way I enjoy his films.

Re: Your OTHER Favorite Shows
Well, all of them have similar stories, I doubt he wasn't a problem on the set in the way they've described him over the years. Most of them have gotten over it but Takei is still pissed as hell and won't let it go, it seems.ALFIsMyIdol wrote:I don't think that most of the stories spread by "certain cast-members" about him are true. Anyway, I wasn't referring to them and their stories, I was referring to pretty much anyone who ever met him at a convention or other places.

Re: Your OTHER Favorite Shows
Well yeah it seems more and more that he is a douche but it could be assigned to being a bit full of himself (in early years) and eventually getting bored of the whole Trekkie thing (in later years). I mean it has to get annoying once having people dressed in futuristic army clothes giving you a Vulcan greeting all the time . Still no reason to be rude.
