NEW: ALF for Kids Page
http://www.alftv.com/alfforkids.php
One of the newest pages on the website. Right now it just has a printable PDF coloring book, and a link to watch episodes of ALF. If anyone comes across anything that they think would be good for this page (and kid-friendly), please let me know! A majority of ALF fans are probably in their late 20s and 30s, so this could be a good opportunity to encourage them to expose their kids to ALF. As always, input is welcome.

Re: NEW: ALF for Kids Page
Kids today might like ALF, especially if they have a parent who is a big ALF fan. Although I will add: proceed with caution if you want your kids to like ALF. If you oversell it, they may just dismiss it as "that old show my parents like".
Maybe scans of some of the comics would be a good idea for the ALF for Kids section. They are out of print and not easy to come by. Too bad no one has the ALF cartoons available for online viewing.

Re: NEW: ALF for Kids Page
I do have all of the ALF comics in PDF form (as well as the hard copies in my own personal collection), but due to copyright laws I am not allowed to share those on this website. Would love to some day though!

Re: NEW: ALF for Kids Page
That's an awesome idea! Here a few suggestions for it:
1) We could make a couple of trivia quizzes specifically for children.
2) I don't know how you feel about YouTube embeds, but you could perhaps embed players for some of the cartoons that have been posted.
3) We could put together some simple games, such as crosswords, word searches, or mazes. I know there are websites that we can use to generate these games.
4) Perhaps we can put out a call for ALF fanfics written specially for children - to be featured on the site.
5) Similarly, we could ask for children to send in their own drawings of ALF to be featured on the site.
6) Perhaps, one of you who is artistically-inclined could put together an instruction sheet on how to draw ALF.
Just a few quick ideas - I'd be glad to help out, of course

Re: NEW: ALF for Kids Page
Didn't even think about crosswords, love the idea! All of them in fact.
One thing I had toyed with the idea of is an ALF coloring contest. Winner wins a pair of ALF cartoon DVDs (or something along those lines). Might be something fun to do after Christmas-time (but before the summer contest). Have a couple months to submit entries, then a month of voting...something like that. I'll need to give it more thought. I also want to revamp the summer contest a little bit to encourage more participation, so after this is done I'll try to make it happen.
And of course, any help is always appreciated. There just aren't enough hours in the day for me (I seldom have time to sit down and focus 100% on a task anymore, it's been getting especially bad this summer) - sometimes I wish there were five of me. My wife probably wouldn't like that though...

Re: NEW: ALF for Kids Page
Just updated the page with FOUR activities created by Sam - http://www.alftv.com/alfforkids.php - I'm looking forward to working on this more next week myself, the site Sam uses to make them is terrific!
Mark, if you would like to scan/email me the photo by Summer I can put it up on the page (could she also have her first name on it?). I can create an image gallery like I have on the pictures page...Coloring Hall of Fame??? Sam, I think you also mentioned something in your email about one of your kids doing one as well. I'd love to put them up!

You could add my drawing of ALF to your coloring pages if you'd like. (For the kids to color...I'm unfortunately way past being a kid myself...).

Re: NEW: ALF for Kids Page
That's great Debbie Anne! I wish I could draw like that. I'm sure, as with music, it just takes lots of practice
Do you think you could make a step-by-step instruction on how to draw ALF? Maybe just the face, rather than the whole figure?
Also, I wanted to let everyone know which websites I used to make the puzzles I've done so far:
Word searches and crosswords puzzles - http://www.puzzle-maker.com/
Mazes - http://www.discoveryeducation.com/free- ... N=48074051
Word scrambles (anagrams) - http://wordsmith.org/anagram/
The Discovery Education link also has lots of other game generators, so I'll probably use that to make some other types of games.
