ALF's U.S. Geography - converting from floppy
Okay, so I've finally grabbed a copy of ALF's U.S. Geography from eBay. Sealed in original package for $8 including shipping. I couldn't pass that up considering its rarity and since it is the only ALF video game I don't have. The only problem is that it is on a 5.25 floppy and I don't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money on hardware to transfer the files from the disk. Anyone have an old floppy drive by any chance?

Re: ALF's U.S. Geography - converting from floppy
Got my beautiful unopened ALF's U.S. Geography in the mail with an untouched pristine 5.25" floppy disk. Now, if only I can find an old computer with both 5.25" and 3.5" floppy drives. I do have access to a computer with a 3.5" floppy drive, but that will only help if I can transfer the files to a 3.5.

I think there are a few websites that specialize in converting floppy discs to CD - would one of those be a possibility? Probably costs a pretty penny though.

I'll have to look into that. I have no idea what the legality of transferring a game is. I think it is still technically under copyright. Of course, the 5.25" disk is an obselete medium so maybe the law has some provision for that. I'll let you know what I find out.

Well, I finally managed to get that floppy converted. Jeremiah posted it for download in the Games section here on alftv.com. Incidentally, he also removed the password protection so everyone can download all the games. He also posted the scans of the board game that I collected as well as a modified NES rom. Check it out!
By the way, if anyone has any leads on where to get "Add & Subtract with ALF," please let me know so we can archive that game too.
