Alfster,

Possibly, you might be thinking of Episode #30 - "WEDDING BELL BLUES".

At the beginning of this episode ALF is in the kitchen with the Tanners looking at old pictures of his family, when he discovers notation on the back of a photo of his Mom and Dad on their wedding day. ALF comments, "According to this my parents were married on Twnagle the 12th, but I wasn't born until the 28th of Nathinganger."

In the TV series, I do not recall any date being mentioned for ALF's birthday other than Nathinganger (October) 28th; however, there are other licensed ALF memorabilia, such as "The ALIEN'S DREAM CALENDAR-1989", which show ALF as having two (2) birthdays on Twangle (August) 12th and Nathinganger (October) 2nd, but do not show his birthday on Nathinganger (October) 28th.

Very likely, ALF may be responsible for disseminating this conflicting birthdate information in an attempt to receive more presents.

Alfster,

Your memory was correct. I had forgotten about ALF's "229 in August" response to Lynn's question from the "HELP ME RHONDA" episode of the TV series.

Did you happen to notice the most recent information for the date of ALF's birthday? At the beginning of Disc #3 in the "ALF Season One DVD Set", during "ALF's Question Hour", ALF responds to a caller's question that his birthday is the 28th of Nathinganger (October for Earthlings).

This birthdate conflict should be resolved, with an "official" date established, prior to a future time when ALF's birthday will be celebrated as an International Holiday.

Yeah, an International Holiday! I'm all for it!

ALFan, I asked Paul Fusco a question regarding ALF's birthday, and here is his response.
Q: Mr. Fusco, I am curious to know what day you believe to be ALF's birthday. Alien Productions has trademarked or licensed materials showing three different dates in 1756 and 1757; those dates being August 12, October 2, and October 28. I would assume October 28 because ALF himself states that date in an episode of the sitcom and on the DVD set. Can you shed some light on this?

A: ALF had 2 birthdays (very common on Melmac) Oct.28 and Aug. 12 I believe
are the correct ones.
