alf movie any updates on how it is going!

Can anyone gives us an update on where the new alf movie is at, has production started or generally how it is going and when to expect it to be released. Thanks in advance.

I just talked with Jeremiah a few days ago and he says he hasn't heard anything more specific recently, but continues to hear that things are going well.

I decided to send Sony Pictures Animation an e-mail as the admin of the ALF Wiki, in hopes that they might want to release a small nugget of information so that I could share it with the fan base. I don't really expect an answer, but I thought I'd give it a shot. I'll definitely let everyone know if I actually hear something.

If this goes ahead it's a shame its CGI. Muppets Most Wanted proved that you can still do great stuff with old school puppetry

really hope you get a response back from them, sam. most likely the movie is still in the planing stages, writing the script, finding a cast, etc.

Yeah, the ALF movie is something I really hope happens, but I am going to stop being so eager about it. It's good to stay positive, so maybe like ninjadragon said, it could just be having trouble getting a decent script off the ground. Sometimes movies are in development for YEARS before seeing the light of day, so let's just hope thats the case for this film and that we eventually see him on the big screen. Gordo is correct, I just saw Muppets Most Wanted last night and it was fantastic, much better than I thought it would be. I am a huge Muppet fan and never liked any of the "Most Wanted" trailers, so I almost thought about skipping it, but I am glad I ended up seeing it. Nothing beats a classic family film using classic effects like puppets!

As Sam mentioned, I have not heard any news. The movie continues to move forward though!

Like Suburban Sensei said, sometimes movies really do take a while to finish production. Remember, not only do they have to make a good script, but they also have to create storyboards, sets, effects, and even the CGI ALF, among other things! It's no matter, though, as sometimes things have to be 'aged to perfection'.

yeah, like ALFreak said, creating something good takes a long time. so be patent everyone, our movie will come one day.

I'm starting to think the movie isn't going to happen....

Ted 2 just had a trailer, Ted was why Sony grabbed ALF as fast as they did....

Yet here we are w/ Ted 2 on the way & no ALF movie on the radar....

Now if Sony puts out ALF episodes uncut on DVD that would tell us that the movie is indeed a real deal....

Not just them sitting on the brand 'till the 12th of forever....
