R.I.P. Max Wright (1943-2019)

Post by melmacian56 »

I wish I was visiting the forums under better circumstances but this needs to be shared. I was browsing around social media this evening and came upon this very unfortunate news:

https://etcanada.com/news/468834/alf-st ... ead-at-75/

We have lost Max Wright :( It's a very sad day for ALF fans everywhere. This marks the first loss of a full time original cast member of the series. I am shocked and deeply saddened as I was brought to tears upon discovering the news. It's hard to lose someone who was so important to something you loved so much growing up.

Let us keep Max and his family in our thoughts.

I woke up to this news. What a horrible way to start the day. It's been a long time since a celebritiy's death has gotten to me in an emotional way, but the passing of Max Wright instantly did. Ever since I rediscovered ALF back in 2003 him and the whole cast has been like an extended family in a weird sort of way. So sad.

R.I.P. Max, thanks for everything!

Sad news. I immediately thought of the Uncle Albert episode and decided to try to feel happy for him, as much as possible anyway.

Incredibly sad news. I was telling ALFicionado on Facebook that I had always held out hope for some sort of cast reunion (though I think we all know it would have likely never happened). So hard to see the man I grew up watching, basically daily, pass away. Rest well, Max! Even in death, your amazing talent will continue to make many people laugh and smile.

Unfortunately it appears that the only news we get these days is bad news. We ALF fans are due for some GOOD news!

So sad to hear this.
My favourite moments in ALF are always with ALF and Willy. I love it when they fight over something and pull whatever the item is between each other, I also like the genuine affection Willy has for ALF and the more tender moments of the show are now even more precious.
Thanks for the making us laugh and for the lovely memories Max, you will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace.
