ALF Season 2 DVD Set

Post by Admin »

Just curious how many of you will be buying the new Season 2 DVD set (I'm assuming most of you). I haven't ordered it yet, but will put in a pre-order on it about 1-2 weeks before it is scheduled to be released (getting close to that time).

As of yesterday my pre-order is in - I can't wait to get it! I'm inviting Scott and my significant other over the day I get it for a fun-filled afternoon of ALF! I sure hope they're not busy. Yesterday I also ordered the first season of Night Court, which I also can't wait to watch.

Good to hear! I will be running to Wal-Mart as soon as it comes out to get my copy. I have always wanted to have an ALF marathon and have friends over to watch it with me. It's too bad that most of my friends think im immature for liking ALF :(

I know exactly how you feel - alot of people think I'm too old to be watching ALF (that it's a kids show). Little do they know that they are totally wrong. I also watch the ALF cartoons as well lol - I sure hope they consider releasing those on DVD, I get e-mails all the time asking if I have information on ALF cartoon DVDs. I really think they would do quite well if they were released.

Yes you are right. It would be a good way to draw a new generation of younger fans into ALF. ALF wasn't made just for kids. I'm sure 2 year olds don't understand what is being said on the show. They just watch because ALF is a furry and cute creature. ALF is directed towards family. A lot of people I know need to learn that.

Yep, definitely directed towards family - I agree with you 100% there. When I was a kid (and ALF was still airing) Monday night was our "family time" - we would all sit down in front of the TV and watch ALF (for most of the first three seasons anyways).

I forgot to post this but on ALF Season 2's week of release, that set and also Season 1 were top sellers on Wal-Mart.com. So ALF DVD's are selling just fine :D . I wish Season 2 was available at the closest Wal-Mart to me.

How could they say it's for Kid's?! you think toddlers get the jokes at all, like some others said? No. It's not like Teletubbies, haters! They're pretty dumb if they think that...

Just my 2 cents..

You are right about that. If ALF was made just for kids, he'd be singing the ABC's on his program lol.

I didn't feel I could participate in the poll question, because I didn't pre-order ALF Season 2, but I did buy it.

Season 2 is my favorite, what with the Halloween episode, the Christmas episode, the two-parter ("Someone to Watch Over Me"), ALF gets hiccups, ALF meets Jake, ALF moves out (twice), ALF steals an episode of "The Brady Bunch" (see the show where ALF ruins the Tanners house so it won't sell).

It's a great season!
