Re: What's NEW in your collection?
In quantity one comic contains two of the original comics, so that will be about half of the complete original series. I'll buy the originals now that my norwegian collection is complete. It will be some treasure hunt.

They do that in Sweden at times, too.Ninjadragon5 wrote:ohhh okay, I didn't know they did comics differently in norway like that.
So, Norway had 14 issues published? Sweden got 24 How many pages does the Norwegian comic average?

Re: What's NEW in your collection?
Each norwegian comic contains 48 pages. Issue one starts at the original 3 & 4, leaving out the first two, and keep up with the original chronologically half way in the continuum i believe. Does the swedish comics contain every issue?

Re: What's NEW in your collection?
After Adeline gave me a very good overview as to what different versions of ALF have been released by NECA, I managed to order the Cosmic Con ALF at ebay, condition is claimed to be new and the price was at 65€, way less than other offers. It has not arrived yet, but I got a notification that it is on the way. The seller is located in France, so it should come without additional duties inbetween the EU.
But I also ordered the original Ultimate ALF and the two toon versions and preordered the Born-to-Rock-ALF at a german website for action figures. And: Today the Ultimate ALF and the two toon versions arrived!
They look really good and I can´t wait to display them at a proper place. When it´s done, I´ll send you some pictures in the thread for pictures of our collections.

Re: What's NEW in your collection?
Glad I was able to help! They're sure not to disappoint. As for me, my recent addition to my collection is the "Melmac Girls" Burger King puppet. I actually already had one, but I found one at an antique mall that was in better condition than mine and had the cardboard accessories with it (mine did not). It was a fair price, so I decided to replace mine. I also pre-ordered the "Super ALF" SDCC 2024 exclusive from NECA back in June, but it has yet to arrive. It should look nice beside my other NECA ALF figures.

Re: What's NEW in your collection?
Nice find! I wonder who was the singer in those Burger King CDs?
I received my Cosmic Con ALF today. Unfortunately, the package is a little bit damaged, but the figure seems to bee all-right and it was never opened before. I´m glad to have it! As I have the Born-to-Rock-ALF preordered and the Totally-80s-ALF still not released, it seems the Super ALF is the only one I miss at the moment. But I´m confident I´ll find a good offer on that one too.

Re: What's NEW in your collection?
I haven't ever been able to find those Burger King CDs in person (I haven't ever looked online). Maybe one day I'll get lucky and find one of them. Also, I believe that was Paul Fusco singing on those CDs.
When I got my Cosmic Con ALF last year, the package was a tad bit damaged. I think it was mainly due to the fact that it was raining the day it was delivered. However, it wasn't that bad - it was just the hanging tab at the top. I don't have the box displayed so it's not a big deal.

Re: What's NEW in your collection?
No activity in the forum since my last post...
Well, I have to change this by telling you that I got even more stuff from "ebay" and "kleinanzeigen"(based in Germany). I found some offers that weren´t that expensive. I even found an offer containing several items, including a plush toy, which sells for a lot more alone, for only 100€.
I´ll send you pictures when I have found a proper place to display them, but here is a list of what I got over the last weeks:
- Stick Around ALF, unopened in it´s original package, containing the sticker
- ALF clamp figure
- ALF letter containing an ALF silver coin
- ALF plush toy
- ALF mug
- ALF plate
- four different ALF keychains
- an ALF figure sitting in a spaceship(unfortunately, the spaceship is broken, but therefore was cheaper to get; aside from that, I think it´s fitting, thinking of ALFs crashlanding on earth...)
- an ALF sticker album(though it´s not complete, you can see the missing images printed in gray)
- an ALF carpet for bathrooms
- three different ALF pillows
- ALF figure from NECA, the first standard one(it was part of a collection, so I have this one twice now, but I´ll surprise my dad with one of them on his birthday next week)

Re: What's NEW in your collection?
Cool! I've never heard of an ALF carpet, so I'm curious as to what it looks like. Also, those telephone cards are pretty awesome.
Recently I went to a thrift store and acquired two of the animated series figures, the two being Rick Fusterman and Curtis Shumway. I already had the Augie Shumway figure from the same line, so it was nice to add to my collection.

Re: What's NEW in your collection?
Hey both !
I`ve not been in for a while, but keep checking and hoping more posters will come back, and see activity, and I don`t want
to see my name listed all the way down the forum, and in the recent posts box, and to give others a chance !
That is some AWESOME collecting AlfAlfa_26 ! And SO many different ALF related items ! I`ll bet you were so excited waiting
for all of that to arrive, and to open it, and check everything was there !
But ALF is HUGELY popular in Germany isn`t it ? So you`re probably in a really good location, to be scooping up all the things
people don`t want, and you`ll no doubt, find a lot more of it in the coming years, to build an even bigger collection !
Tip for you, when using ebay....have a search for items that are within travelling distance from your location, and that the
seller has listed as "collection only" This often means only a few buyers are able to bid on something, and you can pick up
some amazing bundles, really cheaply.
I did this with a HUGE box of Lego a few years ago, there was easily £200+ of Lego there, but as the seller wouldn`t post it out
there were only 2 bidders, and I won it for £25 !
And if you keep an eye on items, close to you, that don`t sell, and get relisted, you can then make offers, and get items even cheaper !
I also did this with my PC, and got it for £200 less, than the listing price.
I`d LOVE to see some ALF in a thrift store...or charity shop as we call them in the UK ! But there`s just nothing here.

As soon as possible, I´ll post some pictures, but a new add to my collection is an ALF cake server.

Re: What's NEW in your collection?
An ALF cake server sounds pretty awesome. A few of the items you've collected are pretty rare, too. I've never found anything extremely rare in my collecting, but I usually just look in antique shops and thrift stores, so rare stuff most likely wouldn't be there. I think the "rarest" thing I've ever found in an antique store was either the talking ALF doll from 2004 (and it still works!) or the ALF sleeping bag.
Also, kinda off topic, but it seems that the forum has been overtaken by spam again...when I checked in the other day to see this as the top post, it was a breath of fresh air. I'm not sure why it keeps happening though. It's really weird that we have periods where actual posters make posts, while other periods are just spam posts.

It`s all gone quiet, and we`ve been taken over by bots again
Adeline or AlfAlfa_26 for moderator !
Hope your collection has grown even bigger since then, and more bargains have been found on ebay !
And here`s a video that came up in my youtube feed last night..from a channel called The Junkman.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qV5a7l7NtH4
I`ve been watching him for years, as a Star Wars collector, and now he`s gone and made a video about ALF merchandise !
Lots of oddities in there, and some items I wonder if anyone here has in their collection ?
And he seems to have a bit of a crush on Lyn...or is it Justine Bateman ?!

There is much going on in my life at the moment, but as soon as I find some time, I'll be happy to make some fotos of my collection to show you here. I have some stuff to do to complete my studies and move on to the next step. Speaking of moving, I also plan to move into another city and therefore have to spend some time searching for an affordable apartment.

Re: What's NEW in your collection?
I’ve been quite busy lately and haven’t had time to hunt for merch in antique shops, but recently a family member of mine found a TV dinner tray at a yard sale. It’s pretty nice, but a little rusted. Still trying to find a place for it in my collection, though. I’ve got limited space, so it’s kind of hard.
