Yep. Because of the holiday today, I had some time to clear a space right beside the lunch box that came with the deluxe set that came out last year. They look pretty nice together, I’ll say.

That lunchbox is fantastic ! And in amazing condition for something 40 years old, and a bargain for $15 !

I`ve an orange Flash Gordon one, that I used to keep all my old Star Wars figures in, but lost the Thermos to it, a long time ago. And even
though it was bought over 40 years ago, I can still see the shop and location in my mind, every time I think of it, it`s such a vivid image I
conjure up, of an old shop on the corner, with some steps leading up to it, and high shelves, and so many things out of reach of my little
boys arms ! And I can even remember it being a warm, sunny day, as we walked around a harbour to get to the shop.

Here in the UK, I`ve never seen a single ALF item when checking out charity shops, but the fun of looking in them, is finding these things !

Today I received the "Totally 80s ALF" directly from NECA(which was quite expensive), because I couldn't find it anywhere else for an affordable price. But I was disappointed: The shirt(presidential election), which I ordered and payed for too, was missing. So I wrote NECA an e-mail...

I've heard NECA tends to not be great at customer service. Back in the summer, I pre-ordered both the Comic Con exclusive and the presidential election shirt. The shirt came way earlier than the action figure, for some reason. I hope your e-mail is read and you get your shirt.

The other day I found the four book-and-cassettes at the local antique shop. I already had the "ALF Goes Wild" book-and-cassette, but $20 for four books plus the cassettes was a deal too good to pass on. I have yet to test the cassettes to see if they work, but nonetheless, the books are still in great condition.

My mail was answered the same evening: Allegedly they are out of stock of the shirt...While I wanted the shirt as well, the figure was much more important and arrived in a good condition(I was worried about this because of the long journey of the parcel). At least I get my money refunded.

Concerning your latest find: Very nice, I hope the cassettes will work. If they do, I recommend that you digitalize them on your computer. Several years ago I ordered a device which functions as a walkman and as a "digital saver". I began to listen to my childhood cassettes(they were still common when I was in kindergarten age) again while they were saved at the same time.

For all the ALF merchandise there was, I`m surprised I`ve never seen a single item here in the UK in charity shops, another great find !

If you have a working cassette player, then you should be OK with those tapes, but if you have to find an old one, test it on an old
tape first, and I`m sure I read ages ago, that you should use a pen/pencil, and wind the reels tighter before putting it in a player.

NOT super tight, but just enough, so it doesn`t end up spooling when played, and cause it to snaggle up in the player.

I have some old Star Wars cassettes that came with books, but I`m too scared to test them, as my player is old, and I can`t find a way
to properly clean the heads on it. It`s a Technics one, and cost me a fortune many years ago, but it opens in a weird way, that makes
it hard to clean and service it.

Although, I do have a Sony Walkman, that was working perfectly not long ago, might give them a try on that.

All these finds, and purchases you both make are awesome to see, hope you can share some pics of your items if possible !
