Sorry I messed up. Now I remember correctly, ALF was eating with Skip and one of his other friends when necular devation was coming. ALF was not able to keep his date with Rhonda.

Your answer is correct. In Episode #42 ("WE'RE SO SORRY, UNCLE ALBERT"), ALF reveals that alll Melmacians die at the same age of 650 years old.

Apparently, ALF has lots of time remaining to work at getting his career back on track.

That is correct. In the episode 24, Weird Science, ALF tells Brian that those are the names of the two planets that exist beyond pluto and tells him to add them to his model of the solar system
