Ok, I have started a lot of threads, but here's a question. I wonder when they were filming ALF, did they use "laughing machines" or is it a real crowd who's watching it?

Jessica,

Due to the complex raised set and lengthy setups required to work with ALF, the TV series was taped on a sound stage without a live audience.

Although as I understand it "Alf's Hit Talk Show" was filmed in front of a live audience. Just in case you were wondering.
