Just wanted to let some of you know that the website will be in a state of "disarray" for the next couple of days, as there are currently some changes being made. None of these changes will affect the forum. I am trying to get the new "Featured Clip" sidebar working properly, as well as working on getting all of the text throughout the site the same font. I have also been phasing out some email addresses that I no longer wish to use...I think I'd rather check one email account for this website rather than 5-6 daily.

I'll let you know when all of the changes are complete and the site is back in "working order" - it should be soon.

Regarding the forum - in the next few months I'd like to get the forum upgraded from phpBB 2.0.22 to the new phpBB 3. Converting the forum files is not easy and would most definitely take a whole day...not to mention an entirely new forum design/skin would be needed. This would allow for better security against spammers as well as additional features (to be determined). This would also eliminate all of the "quirks" and "bugs" that have been surfacing here and there over the last year; it's fortunate that none of them have been major.

If you look at the main page of the website that is somewhat how it will eventually look. There is an added PayPal donate button (not functional yet) that will allow people to donate to the website. I also want to have "Bookmark this page" and "Send this page to a friend" features, but those may not be possible...we'll see.

Please don't change the design too much, I hate big and drastic changes on forums and I've gotten so used to this one. At least keep the "space" background, it's a must for ever ALF site out there.

Hopefully the space background can stay. This template is specifically designed for phpBB 2.x.x and unfortunately won't be able to come along for the trip. I guess it's the price we'll have to pay to have a good working forum...
