I know this is off topic,but I have question.Why can we not post links to Ebay?

There are several reasons.

1) Sometimes people try to promote their own merchandise
2) If someone gets ripped off there may be ill feelings toward another forum member
3) After a few months the link is "dead" and that hurts the forum's ranking in search engines

There are probably more, but those are a few reasons off the top of my head.
