Welcome Threads

From now on, I would like to politely ask that ALFanatic and myself be the only ones to make "Welcome <insert member name here>" threads. Reason being: I've had to delete a couple threads over the past few weeks welcoming spammers. I have access to the IP address, email address, and other registration info that helps me determine whether or not the registration is spam, and we do get spammers here.

I would hate to encourage and welcome the spammers

On the old forum software we could have 20-30 a day...easily! Now we get maybe a handful a week - much better than it used to be!

thats what happened to my computer! I have the best spam ,virus and fire. i just forgot that its 2009. I had all this down loads for upgrades and skipped them like a fool. Well people are getting more cleaver.--

ALFanatic had a very good idea. If a new member joins, and they post something (which means we would know that the person is not a spammer), please feel free to post a welcome thread.

Do not appreciate how many of your replies add no value to the Topic thread, as you strive to build post count.
