User Permissions Settings
Hi all - as some of you long-time members may have noticed, once the new software for this forum was installed the user permissions (i.e. editing own posts, subscribing to topics, etc.) haven't been the same. I talked to a few people and they were able to talk me through these CRAZY settings for the forum.
Well, now users have many permissions back, such as editing their own topics, etc.
If you notice anything out of the ordinary, or something doesn't work the way you feel it should, please send me a private message. I messed with a TON of settings today and it is always possible that I changed something that I did not intend to.

Re: User Permissions Settings
Well, the "Edit" button is still not showing up (even though the settings say it is there!) so I will do some more digging. I'll keep everyone advised.

Re: User Permissions Settings
twangle,
I tested out your permissions on my computer, and the "Edit" button is still not showing up for you...are you saying that with your posts there is an "Edit" button??? If there is, I am not seeing it.

Re: User Permissions Settings
Still nothing...I think I might have to re-install a few forum files (it is quite possible that one or more is corrupted, which could cause this kind of problem).

I was talking to a friend of mine who has his own site, and he had the same problem as you except he didn't take away the edit button. He had to re-install 4 new files that were corrupted.

Re: User Permissions Settings
I think I've got it figured out...I've been working on it while watching the Super Bowl.
