I have seen bits and pieces of it,and I liked it. For those of you who don't know what it is,there was a JCPennys commercial that sang the song that was on The Breakfast Club. The song is Don't You Forget About me.You should recognize that.

I think The Breakfast Club is a great film. My favorite 80's film is Back To The Future.

Fantastic movie, with an amazing Simple Minds track that reminds you of it ! Keeps coming up in my youtube, and I have to watch it !

Ally Sheedy was just adorable in this, my favourite film of hers, and I`m trying to find a cheap blu-ray of it, but no luck so far.

They really don`t make them like this any more !

A John Hughes classic. Such a great opening scene, with a rare instrumental version of "Don't You Forget About Me". Fun fact: the version you hear in that scene is actually the instrumental of the original demo that Keith Forsey and Steve Schiff recorded for Simple Minds in order to convince them to record the version we all know and love today. Simple Minds didn't want to do the song at first, but they were eventually convinced.

Remember seeing it in the mid 80`s, but it wasn`t until the early 90`s, that I realised that I had that Simple Minds track on a cassette.

LOVED the track, and then one day, around a friends house, we were playing some music on a compilation tape called NOW 5 that I`d taken
there, and then this track came on, and I couldn`t believe it ! OMG ! I had it all this time, and didn`t even know ?! What a dummy !

Simple Minds then became one of my most listened to bands through the 90`s, and I bought a ton of their cds, without ever knowing that
the track that got me into them, wasn`t one of theirs. But they`ve made SO many great tracks over the years, I didn`t care.

And they`re still touring now I believe.

Cheers for those links ALF, will have to check them out !

Thank you for the links! I have listened to all of them while driving home by train on Tuesday. Though I haven't seen the whole movie to this day, the song was always one of my absolute favourite pieces of music!

You got it! It's a great movie. One of the first to ever empathize with teen angst in a compassionate way. Such was John Hughes.

He certainly left an amazing catalogue of films, Ferris Bueller is one of my all time favourite films, and I watched Planes, Trains
and Automobiles last year, for the first time since the 80`s, and really enjoyed it.
