What All Is In Your ALF Collection?

Post by ALFan »

Hi, all, I was just wondering what everybodys' ALF collection looks like. I thought this might be an interesting topic so if you have something somebody wants you can tell them where you got it. We can also discuss if you like it or not. Thanks.

My Collection Looks Like The Following:
ALF Season 1
ALF Season 2
ALF Season 3
ALF Season 4
Project:ALF
ALF Files
ALF Key Chain
A Framed ALF Poster That Says Got Cat
Currently Debating If I Should Buy ALF's Hit Talk Show (If you have any advice on that let me know. I have only seen a little bit of the Pilot)

My ALF sanctuary contains a lot - an awful lot! I stopped counting when the number exceeded 200 items, and that was years ago.

My ALF doll
season 1
season 2
season 3
season 4

An old pair of pajamas that no longer fit, twin sheet of ALF. An ALF poster. Two ALF shirts. So many VHS that no longer work, I could not bare to throw them away. A keychain. Some buble gum cards and other things.
Hello is this Mr. Ochmonek? Oh jolly good. I'm doing a survey for the B.B.C and wondering if you would like to answer some questions.

ALF's Hit Talk Show is not for sale anywhere, at least not officially.

AxelFoley is correct, it is not available "officially"...however, I do know a place that currently sells it online, so it is out there.

Definitely not with permission, which is why I would never post the link on the forum.

WOW! 200 items! I bet you invested a lot of money in your ALF Collection. I didn't even know there was 200 ALF items out there.

ALFan.

Way back when ALF's star was shining brightly, you could not even imagine the vast quantity of ALF merchandise that was for sale in retail outlets, or distributed through tie-ins with corporate advertising programs. Those were the days - ALF was everywhere!

Currently, by conservative estimate, I believe the numbers in the ALF sanctuary to be well over 300 individual items with more than an additional 100 items that are duplicates.

As for cost to obtain the ALF santuary, I really do not know for sure, but I would guess I have not personally spent more than $1000.00. Over the years, I have received many items as gifts and many, many more items were given to me by people who, aware somhow of my passion for ALF, just dumped their ALF stuff on me, rather than throw it away. Also, the time period of the 90's was a great time to acquire inexpensive ALF merchandise, since there seemed to be ALF stuff at almost every garage sale.

Actually, my biggest cost related to the ALF sanctuary has been, is , and will continue to be housing for ALF. I pay considerable monthly rent for a 2bedroon/2bath apartment primarily occupied by ALF where I have very limited access to a bedroomm, bathroom, and the kitchen for my personal use.

Canadian Alf,

To date, I am unaware of any ALF merchandise considered "so rare" as to appear as listings in Christie's or Sotheby's auctions; however, by personal definition I view following ALF merchandise as "rare":

Any ALF item with documented provenace being from the original ALF TV Series.

Any ALF items of extreme limited availability, due to original sale/distribution being minimal or inability to withstand the "test of time".

Any ALF items originally offered for exclusive sale/distribution outside of the U.S.

Any original ALF items that have been professionally made into a custom "one- off" piece.
Example: I have a custom-made "ALF skin rug" that was gifted to me by a friend.

Pictures!! You want pictures? I ain't got no fancy, digital camera. With extreme cost cutting measures implemented to stay afloat during current economic recession/depression, I now bus instead of drive, watch "black & white"TV* with rabbit ears antenna, and have dial-up internet connection. Lots of higher priority upgrades to be realized long before I ever own a digital camera.

*Wonder how many members of this Forum have never seen a "black & white" TV?
