German season 2 coming December 23rd
According to: http://www.cinefacts.de/dvd/17961/news/ ... ter-6.html, season 2 of ALF should come in November already, probably the 20th. According to a poster on the German ALF forum, it will be uncut episodes in this one.
I hope this means that the first season is 100% uncut too, I haven't gotten that confirmed yet. I'll be waiting for a few reviews to pop up once it's been released on September 4th.

Great news, lookin forward to word about Season 1. Hope thats uncut, although i guess any on screen captions would be in German. So many great moments were edited out of the USA dvd's .. who can forget ALF moonwalking!

Oh man, I gotta get these DVD's!
The onscreeen captions will most likely be in German, would that be any problem? I think they'll be easy enough to navigate through.

I meant captions within the episodes, like to explain time lapses and stuff, not the dvd menus. There were a few, in the pilot, in strangers in the night. Not terrible, but does spoil it a bit.AxelFoley wrote:ALF MOONWALKS?!?!Gordo wrote:Great news, lookin forward to word about Season 1. Well, if the episodes themselves will be available in English audio I don't see why the captions wouldn't.
Thanks for the clip!!

Re: German season 2 coming November 20th
Well, here in Hungary all movies are dubbed, but those captions you're talking about - like "two days later" etc. - always appear in the original language. So I guess this isn't something we should worry about.
Re: German season 2 coming November 20th
I don't own the German Season 1 box set yet but they used the Original US-Masters so there won't be any translations.I meant captions within the episodes, like to explain time lapses and stuff, not the dvd menus. Greetings from Germany!

Re: German season 2 coming December 23rd
Hello English People
I got my german Season 2 Set today.
It is again uncut with 1 Exception: The Episode "Somewhere Over the Rerun (a.k.a.) The Ballad of Gilligan's Island" is cut. The German TV Runtime was 23:32. The DVD Runtime is 21:34. So 2 Minutes cut
But i can live with that cause the rest is uncut.
So i think its save to buy the thing. Simply the best Versions you can get at the Moment.
Greetings from Switzerland and sorry for my bad english.
