ALF Memorabilia Guide
Hi everyone,
I got around to starting a template for a memorabilia guide today. I have many pictures ready to upload from my personal collections (and others that I have gotten from eBay). Before I get started on this I would like everyone's input, as making changes to the overall form will be very difficult after the process is started.
Thoughts on the current sections and levels of rarity? Anything else I should be including?
It looks rather dull right now...right now I'm just focused on content.

Sample page (I'd also appreciate input on values should anyone have opinions/objections). You can also click on the image to make it bigger.

Re: ALF Memorabilia Guide
I think it's great and easily navigated.
Maybe this could be the start of something big, like a possible book on the subject? Since you know how to get in touch with Paul Fusco, do you think that perhaps, somewhere down the line, you could ask him if he'd ever consider giving permission on such a book? Or just what his general thoughts are on a possible memorabilia guide to the ol' ALFer?

Re: ALF Memorabilia Guide
If it would grow to that level it would be great to create a PDF book (eBook?).
I also added a few things - please check out the first link again. I think it will be a few weeks of work before it would get to a point where it could be released on the website...and even before then I would need several collectors to proof it to let me know their thoughts. Right now I just have my personal opinion, but it should really be a group of collectors that make that determination - that would probably make it both more accurate and more reputable.

You think it would be too hard to try getting a real book published? I reckon interest in such a book could grow with the possible upcoming movie.Admin wrote:If it would grow to that level it would be great to create a PDF book (eBook?).
I like that you added a new grade to the Levels of Rarity, I felt that was needed.Admin wrote:I also added a few things - please check out the first link again. Re: ALF Memorabilia Guide
I decided to add a "moderate" - there really needs to be something middle of the road (instead of jumping right from common to rare).

Re: ALF Memorabilia Guide
Thats really nice, I'm just curious as to what is out there!
How do we get the photos up there, can we mail them to you or upload directly?
Just an idea but could there be a tick box if you own that item so that it could build into your profile?
I look forward to seeing some more rare stuff and hope I can contribute a few items.

Re: ALF Memorabilia Guide
Hi - emailing me the photos (webmaster@alftv.com) would be best. If you have additional info on the item (ex. when it was released, by what company, etc.) that would also be very beneficial.
I'm sure the tick box could be done, but that is well beyond my skills unfortunately

P.S. That presskit is also owned by Mark, if I remember correctly. When I've completed the Jedi mind trick to perfection, it will be mine

Mark is going to get me some pictures of his - sounds like there are some similarities, but it is a different kit.

Jeremiah I will send you some pics later, its not as visually nice as the other press kit but has some good info and great transparent slides.

There are different ones? What the heck? PICS, please! Does this mean I'll have to search for both?

Re: ALF Memorabilia Guide
Collectibles I'd love to get my hands on:
1) Mark's press kit
2) Luke's ALF revival movie script
3) Your signed Gilligan's Island script
Pretty much any rare item, but we all have things in our collection that we would never part with. I think if we ever joined forces and created an ALF museum it would be awesome!

The script was signed/inscribed to the person it belonged to, I'm not sure if that makes it more or less desirableAdmin wrote:Collectibles I'd love to get my hands on:

Re: ALF Memorabilia Guide
Though it must have been a crew member on the show (and been there for the taping/recording with the cast)...to me, MORE desirable!

Oh absolutely, no doubt about that. Yeah, I guess it makes it even more special.

Re: ALF Memorabilia Guide
Thanks for your work on the memorobilia guide. i like the photos. I apologize for not being very involved. i am actively searching for my US manufacturer list which will give a good indicator of what is available to abot 95% accuracy. The one magnet in your photos I believe is unauthorized. The spaceship press kit I believe comes from Warner Bros sent to local affiliate stations which carried Alf in syndication. I have one and know of two others owned by other collectors. Definitely one of the nicest items out there. There is also a rare pop up 3D promotional press kit that I have. May have an xtra one somewhere! Let me know if Fusco wants to get involved. Keep up the good work. ALFectionately yours, Alfcollector.

Re: ALF Memorabilia Guide
Thanks for the info! I'll make the corrections shortly. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer on the project.
3D promotional press kit? Extra? Lets just say you have a buyer lined up if you ever decide to part with it.
