Website Update - 8/7/05

Post by Admin »

Got some more things updated on the website today - the month of August is being very kind to me in the area of free time.

First off, I got rid of the guestbook and the chat room - there has been little to no interest in either of them so there was really no reason to keep them. I may one day add a chat room to the forum (where you have to use your forum login to get into the chat, but that's just a future idea). In place of the guestbook feature I added the scrolling topics feature (that you see at the top of this forum) onto all the pages of the website; my hope is that that will draw more people to the forum.

Lastly, I added two NEW pages to the website so the fans can contribute. They are on Crazy ALF Moments (http://www.alftv.net/crazymoments.html) and Episode Ideas (http://www.alftv.net/episodeideas.html) - these two features were elements of Paul's Planet Melmac website which is no longer running, so I felt it only necessary to start something like that here.

Please let me know what you think.

On a side note, I've received a few e-mails on whether or not the ALFtv.NET Mailing List is still a go - the answer is yes. There has been very little news and I forgot to notify people about the season 2 DVD. I will be sending out two messages (at least) over the next few months - the first to remind people of the release of the season 2 DVD set (which I will do in about 2 days, which will mark the 2-week countdown until the release) and the second to remind people of the release of the Project: ALF movie on DVD.
