Chat Night - May 27, 2007

Post by Admin »

I have scheduled the next one for May 27, 2007 at 11:00pm GMT (Forum Time) - here's how you can participate:

-Must be a registered member at the forum

-Login and go into your "profile" (link is on the top of the forum mainpage) and change your timezone to "GMT" - just make sure you know how your timezone relates to the GMT/Forum Time (myself for example - 11:00pm GMT turns out to be 5:00pm in my timezone). To find out the GMT/Forum Time just go to the forum mainpage - http://www.alftv.net/forum - and see what time it is!

-To enter chat just go to the top of the screen and click on "chat"

I'll be sending out a mass e-mail to forum members and the mailing list sometime in the next 2-3 days. I will also be updating the main page of the website soon as well. That'll give around 3-3.5 weeks notice for most people.

Here's the shorthand of it:

1) Go to your profile and change your timezone to "GMT"

2) Go to the index page - http://www.alftv.net/forum - when that time says 11:00pm look at YOUR clock, that will be the time that the chat is at, but on 5/27/07

If you change your timezone to GMT and check back at the forum here a few times on Sunday you can just keep watching the "forum clock" and tell from there.

A little clearer? Hope to see you there!

artemis_kunzite,

Here is link to time converter that should help determine your local time as compared to GMT time. Actually, time converter a good "bookmark", for you can make time comparisons all over the world.

Are you also saying that you are confused about how to enter Chat from the Forum Home Page?

New ALF Headline:

"Mastermind Turns Himself In For Mysterious ALF-related Disappearance"

Well...looks like I'm the one that screwed it up this time (lol). With all luck I won't have forum members nailing me to the wall for this one.

I worked until 8am this morning - came home and went to sleep, then woke up and looked at the clock "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" How I slept that long I have noooooooo idea (in all honesty, it felt good though).

I hear only two people were in attendance...is that true???

My apologies for being <EDIT> unfashionably late. </EDIT>

For those who weren't there during chat night, care to explain what kept you?

Sorry to hear that chat night bit the dust. I already made it known that i wasn't coming. This weekend i spent my days on the beach and out and about. I was not home at that time. I would have liked to be there but I'm never usually around on weekends. Computer time takes place during the weekday mostly.
