I agree...would be nice if people would stick around. I'm still trying to find an excuse to mass email all the forum members (in hopes they will remember this place and stop by again)...any ideas???

I don't think you need a certain excuse, just send out an email urging members to stop by and say hi. Or you could wait a while until the holidays and send one out wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.

Maybe another contest like last summer would be a good idea? It was ahit, with lots of people signing up and posting. I could ontribute with some prices if you'd like.

I definitely plan on having another contest. I originally planned on doing one this last summer, but circumstances wouldn't allow it. This next summer it shouldn't be a problem though. I'm still waiting on the next Amazon.com check (when people buy DVDs through the site it gets a commission)...all that money goes directly back into the site, and there should be enough money to buy a couple DVD sets for the next contest (plus I'll be pitching in some). A one-month Holiday Contest might work too though? I could always do a beginning of December to mid-January thing? I'll have to think it over...I would only be able to buy a DVD set or two...so with few prizes it might not spark too much interest. I'll have to see what else I can find.

The Holiday-contest sounds good, but do keep in mind that people are pretty busy this time of the year. Getting everything ready for Christmas, all the shopping that needs to be done, the meeting with family-members and stuff like that. It might be harder to get a contest going at a time like that.

If I did do a holiday one, it wouldn't be near as elaborate...maybe a DVD set and a movie only...still have to think some more. Although it might be better to save the money and effort for the summer.
